حضرت ابراہیم خلیل اللہ علیہ السلام نے ایک مرتبہ خداوند قدوس کے دربار میں یہ عرض کیا کہ یا اللہ تو مجھے دکھا دے کہ تو مردوں کو کس طرح زندہ فرمائے گا؟ تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا کہ اے ابراہیم کیا اس پر تمہارا ایمان نہیں ہے، تو آپ نے عرض کیا کہ کیوں نہیں؟ میں اس پر ایمان تو رکھتا ہوں لیکن میری تمنا یہ ہے کہ اس منظر کو اپنی آنکھوں سے دیکھ لوں تاکہ میرے دل کو قرار آجائے تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا کہ تم چار پرندوں کو پالو اور ان کو خوب کھلا پلا کر اچھی طرح ہلا لو پھر تم انہیں ذبح کر کے اور ان کا قیمہ بنا کر اپنے گرد و نواح کے چند پہاڑوں پر تھوڑا تھوڑا گوشت رکھ دو۔ پھر ان پرندوں کو پکارو تو وہ پرندے زندہ ہو کر دوڑتے ہوئے تمہارے پاس آجائیں گے اور تم مردوں کے زندہ ہونے
